The best couch in the world

Ummmm..........so let me tell you about this couch I found at the mall tonight. It had extra long cushions, and was soooo comfortable. Unfortunately, it was only about $4,000 over our budget, so we couldn't get it. But I did have to get a picture on it

Yes I hung a ceiling fan!

Yes, my mother would be so proud of me. This is the ceiling fan I hung on my own. I am so impressed with myself!!!!!!

Our house now

okay, so here are some pictures of our house. Remember though, I haven't painted, hung any pictures, hung drapes, or finished unpacking yet. This is just what it looks like right now.Ummm.......I pretty much only took pictures of the downstairs. I will post some of the rest of the house when I get around to it. EEk.

Pictures of the house

These are actually old. This is what the house looked like when John left. This is all he knows of our house. It's soo sad. Yep. It was kind of fun to be able to see the construction process. It was really crazy for both of us to walk-through and be 'this is our house.' I still can't quite get over that. I feel like maybe I'm almost a grown-up! Haha!

My boring life

Not much new is going on in my life, but when I came home today, I did catch Pudger on the stairs chewing on a pen. I don't know how many times he gets caught with a pen. I loved the puppy dog eyes he tried to give me once he knew he had been caught. I couldn't resist getting a picture.

John's SRT party '07

While at Camp Pendleton, John was on SRT. Right before we moved out here, they had a going away party for him.

Christmas '07

Christmas last year was exciting. John was home, which made it all the better. We stayed in Virginia, and had our own little family Christmas. I think Pudger got more gifts than John and I combined. He is pretty spoiled.
We got to have some of John's single marines over for dinner on Christmas Eve, and on Christmas. So it was nice to be able to feed some guys who would have sat in their barracks otherwise.

Snow Day Jan. '08

I love the snow!

USMC Pudgee

John decided it would be fun to do this to Pudger. THIS WAS NOT MY IDEA!

Syracuse/Palmyra Oct. 2007

In October, of 2007, I had the chance of going up to Syracuse, NY. I have a cousin who lives there with his family. It was an awesome time for me. I got to hangout with my cousin, his wonderful wife, and their two adorable sons. It was nice to be around family. While I was up there, Linda (my cousin's wife) took me up to Palmyra to see where Joseph Smith lived, and to see the Sacred Grove. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. The Spirit was so strong there, and it was such a beautiful place. It was definitely a trip that I will remember for the rest of my life. Unfortunately, John was working, and couldn't come with me. Hopefully someday soon, I will be able to take him up there to experience it.

Valentine's Day '08

Valentine's Day this year was a bit exciting even though John was gone. I woke up early in the morning to see snow on the ground outside (which is a bit odd since it is only the 2nd time I've seen any snow stick here this winter). So it was pretty neat, although it was all melted by about 9AM.
John sent me a cute teddy bear for V-Day which I absolutely love. Pudger has already tried to claim it.

Our new home (or townhome to be correct)

Here I am opening the door to our house for the first time. So exciting! It was quite stressful and sad to not have John here for the move, but I had so much help from our Ward. It's nice to finally be out of an apartment! No more people stomping on the floor above us. Now I can sleep at night!
